WHY MISSIONS?
Purpose - The Great Commission
Matthew 28:19-20"Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very ends of the earth."
Acts 1:8"But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."
Mission Statement
We believe we can change the world from Chandler, Arizona. Cornerstone Missions exists to be the means by which we do just that, locally and globally. As we engage and equip our people to Pray, Give, and Go we are convinced that world change will happen for the glory of God. Like the epicenter of an earthquake from which all shockwaves go out, Cornerstone Missions will shake the world with the love of Jesus.
PRAY!
Here are some great ways to get involved through prayer:
- Pick a family from the list of supported missions and pray for their ministry and those to whom they are ministering.
- Pray for God to show you where He could use your heart and gifts to reach the world for His purpose.
- Pray for those in your life who don't know Christ and that God would use you in their life.
Give!
Here are a few ways to use the resources God has given you to help reach the world:
- Support a family from Cornerstone that is in the field.
- Sponsor a child through a missions agency like Food For the Hungry.
- Tithe: A significant amount of our yearly budget at Cornerstone goes to local and global missions.
- Give of your time to serve.
- Send: Sponsor someone from Cornerstone to go in your place on a trip.
GO!
Matthew 28:19-20"Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very ends of the earth."See the list of supported missions for amazing opportunities to serve locally and globally.

Second Saturday
"Second Saturday" - Serving with Purpose
Imagine getting to provide food to a woman who hasn¹t eaten a good meal in weeks. Imagine the chance to clothe a little boy whose parents can¹t afford to buy clothes. Imagine helping some of the poorest in our community improve their shelters and living conditions. Imagine all of this and more!
SECOND SATURDAYS
Cornerstone Second Saturday is the best way to stop imagining and start serving. Come be the tangible hands and heart of Jesus to the less fortunate of the Chandler/Phoenix Metro area every second Saturday of the month, from 8:00 AM to Noon. Just show up at the student center and serve! Don¹t miss one of the best ways to be a light to the world and allow others to see your good deeds so that they may praise God because of you. As you¹re preparing, here¹s some important info to know.
These events are open to everyone at Cornerstone ages 8 and up. (Some projects may be age restricted.) We will meet every second Saturday of the month from 8:00 AM to Noon in the student center.
There will be a time of worship and a 15-20 minute briefing on all the opportunities to serve that day.
Transportation to and from those sites will usually be provided by van. We will have you back around noon.
All you need to bring is a passion for Jesus, a heart to serve, a flexible attitude, and a non-perishable food item for our Cornerstone Food Pantry. Please dress modestly and wear closed toed shoes.

Food for the Hungry
Here at Cornerstone we have a Community 2 Community (C2C) Partnership with Food for the Hungry. Our church is currently working with the communities in Chincha, Peru to transform lives. Our focus is not only to overcome physical poverty, but spiritual poverty as well. It is our duty, as a mission’s team, to get involved by, serving, investing, connecting, and educating. “And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” –Micah 6:8-

Harvest India
As a partner with Harvest India the mission’s team at Cornerstone is taking a part in changing lives by supporting their mission of “living out the message of Jesus through both faith and deeds”. A few ways to help be a part of this mission is to remain in prayer for the Nation of India, to become a sponsor, experience India for yourself, or to invest in a developing project. "Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, 'Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." -James 2:15-17-
